Who you're dealing with

This website is operated by Alfredo Marco Pradil, an autónomo (self-employed professional) under Spanish law with NIE Z3622680R, trading as Unwritten Type Foundry and based in Zaragoza, Spain. "We", "us" and "our" refer to Unwritten Type Foundry throughout.

By browsing this site, downloading a free font, or buying a license, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site.

What these terms cover — and what they don't

These terms govern your use of this website.

What you may do with the fonts themselves is governed by the End User License Agreement that applies to your download or purchase — Desktop, Web, App, or Educational. Those are separate documents, and they take precedence over anything here where the two overlap. Downloading or buying a font gives you a license to use it under those terms; it does not transfer ownership of the typeface to you.

This applies to the free Desktop license as much as the paid tiers. Free is a price, not an absence of terms — the Desktop EULA still governs how many users and workstations are covered, and what falls outside it.

Ordering and payment

Prices are shown in the currency selected at checkout and include or exclude VAT as indicated. Payments are processed by Stripe — we never see or store your full card details.

We may decline or cancel an order where the details appear fraudulent, where a pricing error is obvious, or where a license tier clearly doesn't match the described use. If we cancel a paid order, you get a full refund.

You're responsible for giving accurate billing and licensee details. The name on the license is the name you enter at checkout, so get it right — the licensee is who is legally permitted to use the font, and corrections after the fact may require a new order.

Your right to withdraw, and refunds

Font files are digital content delivered immediately. Under Spanish and EU consumer law, if you are a consumer (buying outside your trade or profession), you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance purchase — but that right is lost once download begins, provided you agreed to immediate delivery and acknowledged the loss of the withdrawal right. You confirm both at checkout.

If you are buying as a business or professional, the statutory withdrawal right doesn't apply.

Beyond that, if something has gone wrong — a duplicate order, the wrong license tier, a file that won't install — email us. We'd rather fix it than argue about it. Faulty or misdescribed files are your legal right to have remedied and that isn't affected by anything in these terms.

Using this site

Please don't:

• Scrape, crawl, or bulk-download the site or the font files served on it
• Extract webfonts from the type testers or specimen pages for your own use
• Attempt to bypass license checks, download links, or account access
• Upload malicious code, or interfere with how the site runs
• Resell or redistribute anything obtained here, free downloads included

We may suspend access for anyone doing these things.

Site content

The typefaces, specimens, images, text, and design of this site belong to Unwritten Type Foundry unless credited otherwise. Images of client work or fonts in use remain the property of their respective owners and are shown with permission or as fair reference.

You may quote or link to the site normally. You may not reproduce the specimen materials as your own.

Availability and changes

We may change prices, license structures, or the typefaces on offer at any time, including whether a given font remains free. Changes don't affect licenses you've already obtained — your EULA stays as it was when you downloaded or purchased it.

We try to keep the site running and accurate, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability, and occasional errors in descriptions or prices happen. Where a price is clearly wrong, we'll contact you before charging or fulfilling.

Third-party services

Checkout, payment, and font delivery rely on Stripe and Fontdue. Their terms and privacy practices apply to those parts of the transaction. Links to other websites are provided for reference; we're not responsible for what's on them.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't lawfully be limited — including your statutory rights as a consumer under Spanish and EU law.

Subject to that: we provide the site as it is, and our total liability arising from your use of the site or any font license is limited to the amount you paid us for the license in question. We're not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits or project delays.

Privacy

How we handle your personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy, and cookies in our Cookie Policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Spanish law. Disputes go to the courts of Zaragoza, Spain — except that if you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the EU, you keep the protection of your own country's mandatory consumer law and may bring proceedings in your own courts.

Consumers in the EU may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the last revision. Changes apply going forward, not retroactively to purchases already made.
